Can this safe be installed upstairs?
Yes. Our experienced in-house installation team regularly installs safes on upper floors in homes and commercial premises.
Before installation, we will assess access, staircases and floor construction to ensure the safe can be installed safely and securely. We use specialist handling equipment where required to manoeuvre heavy safes into position.

Does it have to be bolted down?
For the safe to achieve its certified security rating, it should be securely fixed to a suitable structural surface, typically:

Is this safe fire resistant?
Yes. The DRS Prisma Grade 1 Safe has been independently tested and certified to provide 30 minutes of fire protection for paper documents.
This provides valuable protection against heat and fire damage to important paperwork, passports, wills and other paper records, whilst also offering certified burglary protection.
How long does installation take?
Installation time will depend on the location of the safe and the complexity of the installation.
In most cases, a standard ground floor installation takes approximately 30–60 minutes. Installations involving stairs, specialist lifting equipment or difficult access may take longer.
Our installation team will always discuss access requirements with you before arranging your installation.
Before your delivery, we’ll contact you to arrange a convenient date for your safe to be delivered and installed.
On the day, we’ll provide you with a two-hour delivery window (traffic permitting), so you won’t need to wait in all day. For added convenience, we’re also happy to call or text you when we’re approximately 30 minutes away, giving you plenty of notice before we arrive.
