Why choose a Grade 5 safe instead of a Grade 4 safe?
Both Eurograde 4 and Eurograde 5 safes provide an exceptionally high level of certified burglary protection and are independently tested to the EN1143-1 European security standard. Both are suitable for protecting high-value jewellery, luxury watches, precious metals, confidential documents and other valuables.
The main advantage of upgrading to a Grade 5 Safe is the increased insurance recognition. A Grade 5 safe is generally recognised by UK insurers for valuables up to £1,000,000 (or £100,000 cash), compared with £600,000 valuables (or £60,000 cash) for a Grade 4 safe.
We often recommend a Grade 5 safe to customers whose valuables are approaching the insurance limits of a Grade 4 safe, or who expect their collection to grow over the coming years. Yes. Our experienced in-house installation team specialises in the delivery and installation of high-security safes, including heavy Eurograde safes, in both residential and commercial properties.
Before installation, we assess access routes, staircases, floor construction and any specialist lifting requirements to ensure the safe can be installed safely and securely. Where required, our engineers use professional handling equipment to manoeuvre these substantial safes into position.

Yes. To achieve its certified Eurograde 4 security rating, the safe must be securely fixed to a suitable structural surface in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions.

Is this safe fire resistant?
Yes. In addition to providing exceptional burglary protection, this safe has been independently tested and certified to provide 30 minutes of fire protection for paper documents.
This helps protect important documents from heat and fire damage while maintaining the high level of certified burglary resistance expected from a Eurograde 5 safe.
How long does installation take?
Installation times vary depending on the size and weight of the safe, the installation location and site access.
Due to the substantial weight of most Eurograde 5 safes, installations typically take between 45 Minutes to 1 Hour, although more complex installations involving upper floors, restricted access or specialist lifting equipment may require additional time.
